The pilot was conducted in two villages Pallangi Kombai (Tribal) and Jakkampatti (Dalit). Despite initial hesitations, WDRC staff successfully facilitated the PIA using participatory methods like group discussions, interviews, and role-plays. High levels of participation were achieved, although engagement with government officials was not possible due to local elections.The impact indicators that have emerged from the two communities are quiet significant taking into consideration the plight of Dalit and Tribal communities of India. The impacts are all the more significant, as the Dalit and tribal women are Dalit among Dalit.
