Abstract

This summary report covers the objectives, content, and methodology of the seminar on Participatory Research organized by KAAYE. The seminar aimed to introduce PR concepts, discuss case studies, and encourage its application in various fields. It included presentations on PR methods, three PR case studies across different educational settings, and the participatory approach for seminar decisions. Highlights include discussions on PR in quasi-formal education for youth, nonformal education for factory workers, and rural women’s development activities.

Description

This report provides a summary of a nationwide seminar on Participatory Research, organized by the Korean Association of Adult and Youth Education (KAAYE) with support from the Asian-South Pacific Bureau of Adult Education (ASPBAE). The seminar, held in December 1981 in Soo-Duk-Sa, Korea, introduced the concept of Participatory Research (PR) to adult educators, presented case studies, and promoted PR methodologies among development workers.
