Grassroots Organisations, Popular Education and Social Change: New Perspectives in Non-Formal Education

Abstract

Students of popular education are by now aware of the emergence of grass-roots movements/organisations among the popular classes. Our selection is very partial indeed. One of the objectives of their workshop is to explore and share among ourselves other popular educational movements through-out the Third World and provide a forum for common under-standing and discussion.

Description

Examines the transformative role of grassroots organizations and popular education in fostering participatory social change outside formal education systems.
