This impact study explores how education, savings, credit, and enterprise strategies used by NGOs in Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Uttaranchal build the capacity of poor women's collectives. It highlights how participatory research and adult education can empower women to break the cycle of poverty and marginalization. The study advocates for integrated, locally relevant, and rights-based approaches to adult education and livelihood enhancement.
