This paper explores how adult education and democracy intersect, especially through popular education in Quebec. It highlights that adult education, when rooted in community needs and values, becomes a transformative force for civic participation, social justice, and personal empowerment. The paper argues that popular education fosters democratic practices, promotes cultural identity, and enables marginalized groups to become active agents of change
