Inter-Professional Dialogue on Participatory Research and Participatory Developmet
(PRIA and ASSWI, 1995-04-19) PRIA; ASSWI
Inter-Professional Dialogue on Participatory Research and Development, 19-25 April, 1995 was organised by the Society for Participatory Research in Asia (PRIA) in collaboration with the Association of Schools of Social Work in India (ASSWI) on the premises of PRIA. This six-day programme was intended to orient the social work educators on people-centred, people-controlled development in India (and elsewhere) and Participatory Research through dialogical methods across professions. The dialogue was designed intra professionally. i.e. within the social work educators, and inter-professionally, i.e. between the educators and practitioners. The focus was not only to exchange learning but also to examine the implications of people-centred development and participatory research for social work education in India.
