Research Methods- Group Reports Review & Comments by Clive Lightfoot
    (1987-07-27) Thrupp, L.A.
Considerable discussion concentrated on the topic of deciding how much a researcher needs to know before beginning to intervene. The conundrum for those who start intervening to० early is that their work can lead them into irrelevant work, while those who start late may lose farmers institutional and/or donor support.. In dealing with this conundrum, many suggested that building on farmers' own experiments and indigenous technical knowledge can provide useful short cuts.
