    The Village Women Cooperatives Store: A Case Participatory Research in a Korean Village

    This study focuses on the participatory research conducted in Bangchuk village, Korea, exploring the role of a Women's Club and its cooperative store in fostering community development. The research highlights organizational strategies, cooperative activities, and community participation that enhanced the standard of living in rural administrative units. By engaging women in education, economic planning, and cooperative ventures, the initiative strengthened the village’s socioeconomic fabric. The findings were presented at the International Forum on Participatory Research in Yugoslavia in 1980.
